Cracking Spines and Cosmic Rhythms: A 5AM Reflection
It’s 5:00 a.m., and the house is dark... except for the unmistakable voice of my 3-year-old bellowing, “I’m awake!” as if the moon personally granted her permission. My partner’s on shift, the coffee hasn’t brewed yet, and here I am… writing.
The recent Full Moon stirred more than just tides and emotions—it cracked something open. Not in the loud, dramatic way Hollywood makes transformation look, but in the subtle, deeply felt kind of way. Like a quiet yes that comes after you’ve been learning the same lesson again, and again, and… again.
For me, that lesson is consistency.
As a mom of three in the thick of daily life, I’ve had to redefine what consistency even means. It’s less about “never missing a beat” and more about choosing to come back... to the breath, the body, the intention, over and over. Some days that means showing up with downloads and clarity. Other days, it means honoring the sacred art of a nap.
Lately, my personal studies have been focused on the energetic spinal column—the central channel of life force that weaves through our bodies and consciousness alike. You may have heard it called Kundalini: a coiled energy, said to rest at the base of the spine, awaiting the right moment to rise.
But this isn't a mystical fairytale.
We have 33 vertebrae—each a stepping stone of consciousness. This number mirrors ancient teachings, symbolic timelines, and yes, even the life of Jesus, whose journey is said to have completed at age 33. Whether you see that as literal or metaphorical, the number shows up across traditions for a reason. The spine isn’t just a stack of bones, it’s a ladder. One that, when aligned, becomes a living conduit between Earth and Source.
When energy rises through this axis, especially when supported by breath, movement, intention, it can bring clarity, sensation, and yes, deep recalibration. It doesn’t mean you glow like a lightbulb 24/7, but it does mean you begin to access new levels of awareness within the same body that makes school lunches and folds laundry.
And that? That’s the magic of being human.
So on days when the moon is full, the coffee runs out, or your toddler announces her presence at the break of dawn… know this: returning to your own spine, breath, and center is enough. Whether your energy is rising or resting, both states serve the greater flow.
This is a space I hold here, to share the snippets of study, of real life, of quantum remembrance, one moment at a time.

Have you noticed your own spine speak lately? Whether in a stretch, a stillness, or a sudden shift… what is your body whispering through it?
